Meet The Guide

KENNY ROVA

Hi, I'm Kenny, your Riverman Guide. After a long career in sales, I moved back to Oregon to follow my dream as a fishing guide. I spent many years fishing for Salmon and Steelhead on the local rivers and in the Puget Sound while living in Washington.

While growing up in Oregon, I spent many hours salmon fishing with my friends, family, and grandparents. Those memories were instrumental in shaping my desire to take others out for a day on the river.

Fishing with friends and family is an opportunity to create memories that last a lifetime. Let's go fishing!

FAQS

What should I wear and bring for the fishing tour?

We recommend wearing comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Layers are a good idea, as temperatures can change on the water. Don't forget unscented sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection. Flat, closed-toe shoes with non-slip soles are essential for safety. Additionally, bring a camera or smartphone to capture the incredible sights, and if you're prone to motion sickness, consider taking a preventative remedy before boarding.

What should I NOT bring for the fishing tour?

Overly Strong Scents. Salmon have an excellent sense of smell, and strong artificial scents like cologne, perfumes, or scented sunscreens can be the difference between you catching fish or not.

Is the boat tour suitable for children and families?

Absolutely! Our boat tours are designed to be family-friendly and enjoyable for all ages. We offer a range of experiences suitable for kids and adults alike. Our knowledgeable guides provide engaging and educational commentary that can captivate young minds, and our boats are equipped with safety features to ensure a secure and comfortable journey for everyone. We strive to make our boat tours as accessible as possible. Please let us know about any specific mobility requirements when booking, and we'll do our best to accommodate them. Our crew is trained to assist passengers with mobility challenges, and our vessels are equipped with ramps or lifts for boarding. However, the level of accessibility can vary depending on the tour location and boat type, so it's best to contact us in advance to discuss your specific needs.
